How we came to be
I'm Carla, I have loved birds since i had my very first bird as a teen, a cockatiel named Tigger. i grew up and entered corporate America but didn't find my true path until i began working with animals. After multiple decades in the animal companion industry it was time to revisit my love of birds. What i found was that most breeders were large scale and impersonal and offered little resources or guidance. I wanted better. I built my little flock from small likeminded breeders and chose three specific species to raise. Indian ring necked parrots because of their beauty, talking ability and desire to be social with their humans. Green Cheeked conures because of their comical nature and even temperament. Finally, the parrotlet, the tiny but mighty entertainer because of their bold personality and unique determination. The goal is not only healthy well-bred birds but to always be accessible for quality education, guidance and support for our bird families.
Healthy, well socialized babies
- Feeding Adults: We feed only high-quality commercial pellets, and our own formulated, hand prepared bird chop to our adults. A quality well rounded diet is central to maintain a healthy, happy and social bird.
- Hand Feeding our Babies: Our babies are hand fed and socialized. It's important to build trust so that their interactions with humans are safe, comfortable and welcomed.
- Health and Testing: All of our birds are thoroughly tested and free of disease before they enter our home to maintain a safe, healthy flock and provide a clean and sanitary nursery. Our guarantee is that you will be adding a healthy and disease free baby to your family.
Time for you to add a baby
- Pick up and shipping: We always prefer that you come to our home to pick up your new baby. We love showing off our pairs and letting you see the parents. We are aware that it isn't always possible to travel to our North Florida home. We do offer shipping, dependent on the time of year and your location.
- Our licensing: We are USDA and FWC licensed since 2007 and supply any necessary paperwork with each baby.
